Valencia recorded their first Champions League win this season on Wednesday, beating Young Boys 3-1 at home.
Valencia’s Santi Mina scored either side of Roger Assale’s equaliser during the first half to put the hosts in a commanding position at the Mestalla Stadium.
And the La Liga outfit wrapped up proceedings in the second period through Carlos Soler’s goal in the 56th minute.
The task then got a whole lot harder for the visitors after Sekou Sanogo was shown a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on former Arsenal midfielder Francis Coquelin.
